Practical and theoretical issues concerning the basis and strategies of urban design, drawing together architecture, urbanism and critical human sciences; the connection between architecture and urban fabric, and the interrelation between public and private spaces in cities; study of the basic social and economic contexts of architecture and urbanism by using examples of dynamic urban areas worldwide.
