Understanding of two major factors affecting design of built-environment; human factors: the physiological, psychological, behavioral, social-culture factors affecting human perception in terms of sense of place, spirit, mood, ambience, and human comfort in terms of temperature, vision, and sounds; the environment factors: climate and geography affecting the design of vernacular architecture, building orientation, shading, ventilation, and passive cooling.
