Please join us for the opening celebration of our summer design build studio: “COIR: Coconuts as Opportunity for Inventive Reuse” on Saturday, August 30th, 2014 at 2PM. Coconut ice cream and refreshments will be served.
Location: Kadeejeen Community, next to Wat Kalaya, overlooking the Chao Phraya River. Khet Thonburi, Krung Thep Maha Nakhon 10600. BANGKOK. Link to map here.
We have created:
A TRANSFORMATIVE FOOD CART/MOBILE PUBLIC SPACE that transports coconut ice cream, and can extend and transform into a small-scale pavilion/public space to serve the ice cream and act as a local community hub.
…and NEW BUILDING MATERIAL: COCONUT COMPOSITE BOARDS made from the remaining coconut husk and shell, used as cladding for parts of the mobile space.
